This is the ninth year of FaithWorks in Hudson and it will be held Monday-Friday, June 17-21, 2019. FaithWorks gives us an opportunity to see Christ renewing neighborhoods and the valley. Our vision is to complete short-term projects throughout the St. Croix Valley, to serve our community with a focus on outreach and excellence, team building, and reflecting the gospel.Volunteers work together on everything from painting and yard work to home maintenance and meal prep.

REGISTER to volunteer today!

  • Registration is free! Register by June 12! Please register early so we can ensure that project and volunteer coordination runs smoothly.
  • Minimum Age/Grade to Volunteer: Middle School unless accompanied by an adult.
  • We are recruiting laborers, food team, nursery workers, prayer/evangelism team, and administrative assistants.
  • Childcare available, while you volunteer, for kids ages 4-10.  Please register each child separately.
  • More than 100 workers are needed daily to complete the projects initiated during FaithWorks.
  • T-shirts are available for $10.00 each!

COMPLETE the online registration form to nominate a project.

COMPLETE FaithWorks homeowner release as part of project nomination.

  • Registration closes June 7, at 3 PM.
  • All projects will be considered based upon nominations with information on why you are nominating a group or individual, and what type of project is being requested.Late entries may be considered but cannot be promised. (Please note, we are no longer able to accept nominations for roof work/replacement. Please accept our apologies.) It is incredibly helpful to get nominations in as early as possible for successful planning. In most cases nominees buy the materials and we provide the labor.
  • Project nomination registration opens April 21 and ends at 3 PM on Friday June 7. 
  • The nominator is responsible to coordinate payment plan with the recipient and discuss the project before submitting a nomination.

About 50 projects are completed each year through FaithWorks. SCRAP METAL DRIVE

We will be holding a scrap metal collection again this year in support of FaithWorks. Drop off is available from Saturday, June 15 through Saturday June 22, 2019, at dumpsters located at the house just south of the church building. 

If you have any questions about making donations to the scrap metal collection, please call Larry Szyman at lszyman@fcchudson.com. Please note, we are not able to accept refrigerators, microwaves, A/C units, automobiles, or anything with freon (unless the freon has already been purged).

WHAT TO EXPECT

Each morning you will pack your lunch and receive your job site assignment. Dinner will be provided at FCC daily, Monday through Thursday.

A typical daily schedule looks like:

7:00 AM - 7:45 AM Sign in/Pack your lunch

7:45 AM - 8:15 AM Prayer/devotions & team meetings/job site assignments

8:15 AM - 8:45 AM Report to job sites

9:00 AM – Noon Working at job site-morning shift

1:00 PM – 5:00 PM Working at job site-afternoon shift

5:30 PM - 6:30 PM Dinner served & Yeah God Stories

6:00 PM – 9:00 PM Working at job site-evening shift

CHILD CARE will be provided daily from 8 AM - 5 PM Monday – Thursday and 8 AM- Noon on Friday for children ages 4-10 years old. Childcare for infants up to 4 years of age will not be available.

Some examples of FaithWorks projects are: landscaping, staining, brush piles, weeding, trimming or cutting down trees, gardening, replacing steps, installing handrails, general maintenance, construction, washing windows or siding, raking pine needles, cleaning up city parks, cleaning gutters, wheelchair ramps, lawn mowing, sheet rocking, moving items, etc. Most outdoor projects are weather driven, so please pray for good weather. Projects requiring skilled trades will be considered based on those people’s availability. Finally, please DO NOT wear flip flops on the job site. Tennis shoes or work boots (steel-toed are preferred for some projects) only.

ITEMS NEEDED FOR FAITHWORKS PROJECTS

A variety of tools are needed for FaithWorks projects: truck with hitch and trailer, riding lawn mower, table saw, chain saw, generator, pressure washer, bobcat, weed trimmer, trailer, wheel barrows, tiller, auger, ladders, good coolers, garden tools and/or post diggers. If you'd like to loan any of these items, drop them off in the Community Room at FCC on Sunday, June 16. Please mark all items on loan with your name. If you have any work gloves, please consider bringing them to your job site.
