Discussion Questions

Each person in the family share:

  1. What is most important in your life?
  1. What are the things you like to do most?
  1. Describe your kingdom and what your routine is like. What in your daily life you are living for?
  1. What is the worst thing that could happen to you? Does that cause you fear?
  1. What is one little kingdom that Jesus might be asking you to surrender this week?
  1. Jesus promises to carry those who trust in him. Do you trust in Jesus to help you even when he helps you in a way that you don’t expect?

Now that you have shared with each other and know each other’s fears (question 4 above), take turns praying for each other.

Memory Verse

33 Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Matthew 6:33-34

Family Action Steps

Family Activity

Bundle up today and take a family walk through your neighborhood. Pray for each home that you pass. Even pray for the neighbors you don’t like. (And see Service Opportunity below!)

On your walk consider if there is a neighbor whose house you pass that might need groceries, or who might be lonely at home and need human contact. Find a way to reach out to your neighbor in need.
