We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
For many, a new year brings with it the hope of change, resolutions, goals and the promise of new life. Some of our resolutions will not be fulfilled and some of our goals will not be reached. But what we can remember and build our lives on, is that because we have been converted by Jesus, we have been baptized into death; we now are able to walk in a new way, in the way of obedience to Jesus, to look more like him in this world, until we see him face-to-face.
As we begin this new year, align one of your goals with all the power of God and grace that he generously provides to become more like Jesus this year. To increase in humility and courage, gentleness and strength, power in weakness, joy in trials, truth with love.
The goal of being more like Jesus, walking in the newness of his way of living, with his power, is graciously guaranteed by the strength of God, given by his Spirit who dwells in us!
We invite you to attend a worship service at FCC on Sundays at 9 and 11 am.
