Part of our vision at Faith Community is to see Christ renewing neighborhoods and the valley. One way we live that out is through setting aside a week each year with an intensive focus on short-term missions across the St. Croix Valley. Volunteers work together on everything from painting, yard work and home maintenance projects to storm cleanup. It’s called FaithWorks, and this is our eighth year!!!
This is also a great opportunity for Missional Communities to serve their neighbors by working together on a project right in their neighborhood. If you’d like to nominate a project, please just go online to fcchudson.com and complete the online form.
FaithWorks is scheduled for the third week of June, from June 18 to 22.
Just go to fcchudson.com and click on REGISTRATIONS to nominate a project, to sign up to volunteer or to donate in support of FaithWorks projects.
AND here’s a tip when completing the online registration form: Please be sure to click the “Continue Registration” button. You will receive an email confirming that your registration is complete. If you do not receive an email, it’s possible your registration wasn’t processed completely. If you need more help with this, please call the FCC Office.
Some of the leaders of FaithWorks will be in the lobby today. Please stop by to pick up one of the information cards with all the important dates and info you need, and they’d be happy to answer your questions and help you with online nominations and registration.
FAITH FORUM – THE GOSPEL AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING
SUNDAY, APRIL 22 – 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Faith Community Church hosts Faith Forums to offer biblical perspective on a variety of culturally relevant topics. The next Faith Forum is scheduled for tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on “The Gospel and Human Trafficking.” We have invited Rachel Paulose to speak on the topic. Rachel will address human trafficking and what people of faith can do to understand what it is, why it is important, and what they can do to help fight it.
The evening will include a period of Q & A (questions and answers) following Rachel’s presentation. During her tenure as U.S. Attorney, Rachel initiated the first ever prosecutions of human trafficking in Minnesota, overseeing landmark federal cases liberating people from human slavery. We hope you can attend this evening.
