At Faith Community, our mission is to make more and better disciples of Jesus Christ, and we want to do that as we go about the things we do every day as we go about living our lives. The International Friendship Program is an opportunity to invite international students at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls into the everyday things you do in your home and family. The program is available for individuals and families.

With the International Friendship Program, God is bringing people groups from around the world to us, providing the opportunity to meet and develop relationships with individuals from other countries, as well as demonstrate His love for them. So you can have them to your home for a meal or a holiday celebration, or if you’re going to the zoo or the mall or a sporting event, you can invite them to come along with you.

To get signed up with the program, you just need to sign up online. Search the internet for "UWRF International Friendship Program" to find information on how to sign up. Scott and Kathy Seaborg lead this program at Faith Community. If you have been a host family for international students in the past, could you please contact Scott and Kathy Seaborg and let them know you’ll be participating? It helps them to know many people at FCC are involvedand how many students are being served.

Part of our vision at Faith Community is to see Christ transforming individuals, so it’s very exciting that next Sunday, we will be celebrating baptisms in our services. Baptism is an act commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ as an expression of faith and a symbol of our union with Christ, especially in his death and resurrection. Pick up a “Believer’s Baptism” brochure at the Info Center.

The fall edition of "Faith Hudson" magazine is now available. Pick up a copy to learn about just about everything that’s happening at Faith Community--how you can get involved, opportunities for serving, classes you can take and more! The feature story in this edition is on how we steward our finances and facilities, which is the fifth initiative of FCC’s strategic plan. Copies of the magazine are available at the usher stands and also at the info walls in the hallways and the Info Center in the lobby.
