Announcements - Sunday, December 17, 2017

Christmas is just a week away! We will gather to worship here at FCC on Christmas Eve. It’s on a Sunday this year, so we will have our regularly scheduled service times of 9 and 11 a.m. We will also offer a candlelight and carol service at 8 p.m. that night.

You may be thinking about a neighbor or friend that you’d like to invite. We’ve created a couple ways to help you invite the people you know to our Christmas Eve services.

  • First, we have printed invitation cards, available in the Info Walls in the lobby.
  • Another way you could send an invitation is to go to and share the Christmas Eve Services page on your phone or through email or social media.
  • Another way you can invite someone through social media is to stop by the blue and white photo booth out in the lobby today. You’ll find it just inside the main entrance. Just take a photo and then share it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Thank you for helping us spread the word about our service times!

At FCC, our mission is to make more and better disciples, and we want to follow Jesus’ example. We want to make disciples who make disciples. For the past few months, we’ve been offering workshops to help equip FCC with practical, hands-on training to live out this mission.

  • The next As We Go Discipleship workshop will be held following both services in The Refuge Room today, Dec. 17.
  • Two of FCC’s leaders, Jim Duffy and Josh Graham, will lead a discussion on the Five Stages of Growth in discipleship. The Five Stages were developed in response to the question: “How would I know what to study/work through with someone that I’m mentoring?” This has been a really helpful tool, and this workshop will help you learn how to apply the Five Stages in your mentoring relationships.
  • The workshop is FREE and there’s no need to register!

Since this is a such a busy time of year, we just want to remind you about a few details related to giving. The year-end contributions that we receive at Faith Community have a huge impact on the church’s ability to support our annual budget and make the kind of one-time investments that cannot be funded on the basis of regular, weekly and monthly giving. Would you consider making an additional gift as we near the end of 2017? FCC contribution statements will be issued by January 31, 2018 for contributions received or postmarked on or before 12/31/2017. You can find more information on year-end giving inside today’s worship folder. Thank you for your generosity!
