Hi, Faith Community! As we head into the weekend, I want to let you know about some important updates.
In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, Governor Evers’ issued an Emergency Order going into effect on Saturday, Aug 1, 2020, requiring that face coverings be worn indoors, unless a person meets one of the exceptions listed. (You can find a frequently asked questions (FAQ) document about the order here.) Starting this Sunday, Aug. 2, if you attend one of the in-person worship services, please plan to wear a face covering. According to a related news release from Gov. Evers’ office, “Under this order, Wisconsin residents ages five and older are required to wear a face covering when they are indoors or in an enclosed space with anyone outside their household or living unit.” If you are able, please bring your own face mask. We will make masks available at the building entrance for those who don’t bring their own. We will also continue to practice all of our previous safety measures and protocolsregarding building use and sanitizing.
On Sunday, as we close out the "Running from God" series, we see God giving close attention to Jonah’s heart. I am so amazed at God’s attentive care, patience, and grace to a running prophet. Amazing that God gives us his attentive care.

God has allowed significant challenges to enter our lives through the COVID-19 pandemic. Our work, educational and church activities have been significantly altered as we seek to live out our mission to help everyone we can meet, know and follow Jesus. I am so thankful to all of our ministry leaders and how they have made significant adaptations this spring and summer. The elders and I have spent much time in prayer and discussion as we enter into a time of planning for fall ministry activities. The pastors and staff are also starting to work with ministry leaders on their plans for this fall. I’ll be sharing our vision for ministry this coming week. Thank you for your patience and prayers!
In April, we shared with you that Faith Community Church had applied for annexation with the City of Hudson as a first step toward resolving water issues at the building. On July 20, The City of Hudson Council approved annexation for Faith Community Church, which will allow us to connect to the City of Hudson water system and complete the necessary adjustments within our building. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact FCC’s Facilities and Events Manager, Josh Graham, at 715-386-4070, ext. 232.
Whether you watch at home or are on campus on Sundays, you matter to us and you matter to God, and we are one church with one mission: to help everyone meet, know and follow Jesus.
