Friday UpDate - Mar. 27, 2020

Hello, Faith Community!

With so many changes happening, we just wanted to take another opportunity to send a message to your inbox today to update you on what’s new at FCC this week and to give you a preview to Sunday.

Remember in the middle of all kinds of changes, God doesn’t change. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13.8). The good news of Jesus doesn’t change. The mission of Jesus doesn’t change.

We are so excited to offer you the following new resources! We hope you find them helpful for discipleship. They also provide a great opportunity to share gospel truth with a friend, co-worker or neighbor. Would you help us to help as many people as possible? Pass along these new resources through a text, email or social media! Thank you!

WEDNESDAYS | FAITH at Home – This new resource helps parents engage with children in meaningful conversation, encouragement and prayer. In these uncertain times, we want to remind you that you matter to God, you matter to us, and we're here for your family! Watch for new video and discussion guides posted on and the FaithBase app each Wednesday.

THURSDAYS | FAITH and Life – This new weekly video series offers encouragement in the challenges and trials of life. Watch for a new video posted at and the FaithBase app each Thursday.

FRIDAYS | FAITH Live – Keep an eye on our Facebook page every Friday as one of our Pastors livestreams a message to empower and uplift you. And, here’s a link to today’s FAITH Live.

Join us this Sunday at 9 or 11am for online church, and invite your friends, too!

  • We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we’ve been making the transition to livestreaming our services online. We have decided to focus on two main ways to offer services online—directly through and also on Facebook. This helps our team offer the best experience for viewers and also helps us in responding to people who are commenting and messaging us with prayer requests or other needs. We love the ways you are engaging with each us and each other online during the services!
  • NEW Sermon Guide online – We are making a sermon guide available to you online in our blog each week. You can download the sheet to print out to follow along and take notes at home.

This Sunday we will continue in our "Who Do You Say?" series. There were a lot of opinions about Jesus. There still are today. Jesus says he came to bear witness to the truth—the truth of who God is. The truth of God’s mercy, grace, power, strength, and love. Jesus reveals a God to us that is so good that he has to be true. Who do YOU say Jesus is?

We can’t wait to meet with you online! Invite a friend or neighbor to watch online and then talk about the sermon afterward. We have a great opportunity to help 1000’s meet, know and follow Jesus!

We want to help you with resources available in our community, that you can also share with your friends and neighbors. The following information comes from the Hudson School District web site about free meals available to children and students (who are ages 18 and under) at the high school building on weekdays.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all children who are in need of meals during the closure. We are setting up meal distribution at the High School. Meals will be available for pick-up between 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Families should drive to the back parking lot where a tent will be set up outside of the loading dock. You do not need to get out of your car.

Please find more information and a survey to participate in the March 16th (12:00pm) update on the Hudson School District website.

Although we’re all experiencing a lot of change right now, our mission stays the same: to help everyone meet, know and follow Jesus. We have an opportunity to reach thousands through our new online services and resources. Your faithful giving helps support our shared mission. Thank you for your generosity!
