Hi, FCC! As we head into the weekend, here’s a preview to what’s coming up on Sunday and a look ahead to some important FCC events.
Yesterday, I hope you received my email asking you to please join me in praying for wisdom for our elders, pastors and staff as we take the next steps following the end of the “Safer at Home” order. We want to transition back to our facility wisely and intentionally.
Would you help us by taking a 5-minute survey to provide your input on how your family may participate in Sunday morning services? Your responses are completely anonymous and are a valued part of our decision-making process. The survey closes Sunday, May 17, 2020, at midnight so please be sure to share your input by the deadline.
Thank you for your prayers and for your participation in the survey! We will be using the coming days to solidify, communicate and execute a plan for reopening. You will be hearing more from me soon. We miss being together and are excited to be with you soon!
Because our sanctuary has been dedicated to only online services for eight weeks, and because of too quick of a turn around to get the building ready to welcome everyone safely, we have decided that we will continue with online church only for this Sunday, May 17.
This Sunday, we will continue in our series on Jesus’ sermon on the mount, and we’ll focus on the section of that sermon in which Jesus speaks words of great comfort to worried hearts. Jesus doesn’t want us to live anxious lives. He desires that we would learn from him how to have peaceful hearts, even in difficult times. If you or someone you know is wrestling with anxiety and worry right now, this is a sermon just for you.
Make sure you join in Sunday morning at 9 or 11am at https://fcchudson.online.church, or on Facebook or YouTube. Invite a friend to experience the service with you and then talk about Jesus afterward.
Find the online sermon guide with the option to download and print at fcchudson.com.
As a follow up to this Sunday’s sermon, we have another FAITH & Life Conversation focusing on anxiety. The FAITH & Life Conversation will be led by Pat Stream, FCC’s Pastor of Counseling and a Certified Biblical Counselor, and it will take place through a Zoom meeting next Tuesday night, May 19, from 7:00 to 8:00pm. (You do not need a Zoom account to attend. A link to the meeting will provided to you when you register.) FAITH & Live Conversations are free to attend, so please share this information with a friend.
The hour will be focused on three things: 1) hope-filled and practical teaching from God's Word about how to deal with anxiety 2) question and answers, and 3) prayer. This will be a great opportunity to connect with others, be strengthened from God’s Word, and learn ways to be constructive with your worry.
Registration is required for the FAITH & Life Conversation. Please register at this link.
Each summer, Faith Community Church dedicates a week to serving our neighbors across the St. Croix Valley through FaithWorks, and this summer marks our 10th year! Adaptations will be made, but we will still be loving our neighbors in a significant way together. Registration to volunteer is now open! And, please nominate projects to serve those around us in need: neighbors, schools, parks, widows, single parents, etc. Talk to those in your sphere of opportunity and let us know how we can help by filling out the form online! If you have any questions, contact Pastor Larry Szyman at lszyman@fcchudson.com.
Although we’re all experiencing a lot of change right now, our mission stays the same: to help everyone meet, know and follow Jesus. We have an opportunity to reach thousands through our new online services and resources. Your faithful giving helps support our shared mission. Thank you for your generosity!
Let’s join together this Sunday at 9 and 11 for FCC Online at https://fcchudson.online.church!
