Hello FCC! I love you and miss you, and I look forward to seeing you in person soon! I am so grateful for all of you and for the ways you are reaching out and caring for one another in missional communities, small groups online and with neighbors.
I am also grateful to see so many people, that we all have been praying for, joining in with us online.God is working during this time!
We also know that this is a challenging time. Right now, feelings of self-worth and purpose are being eroded away by grief from loss, loneliness from prolonged isolation, family conflict, and financial difficulties. All of these are risk factors for depression.
Pat Stream, FCC’s Pastor of Counseling, will have a special message on this topic tomorrow in the Faith & Life video, along with an opportunity to be a part of an online Faith & Life Conversation on grief, sadness, and depression, which will take place through a Zoom meeting next Tuesday night, April 28.There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and receive prayer. Please watch for the video tomorrow evening at fcchudson.com and also on Facebook.
We had a great start to our new series on Jesus’ most famous sermon—the Sermon on the Mount. Even though we planned this series last fall, I am so glad that we are going through the series right now. We have an opportunity to learn some very important truths from Jesus right now, and to grow in our relationship with him—an opportunity we didn’t have three months ago. This Sunday Jesus invites us learn from him on how to be salt and light in a hurting world.
How do you see God working in your life right now? What is God teaching you right now? Share your story with us at fcchudson.com.

Isaiah 40:8 (The Word)
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
