Good morning, FCC! It Is a joy and honor to be back from sabbatical and leading again. I am very grateful for FCC’s commitment to sabbaticals and I am praying that this time of rest, research and rejuvenation will serve us all as we take next steps into our mission and strategic plan.
I am grateful to all the pastors, elders and staff who took on more responsibilities during my absence. I am also grateful for all the guest preachers during my sabbatical. I heard many good things in response to their preaching. God is so kind to us!
I am so excited for this Sunday. We are starting a new series called Rhythms of Grace. The focus of the series is grace. The Bible tells us that grace trains us (Titus 2.12), and like other training programs, we need to form new habits and rhythms to meet the goals that grace has for us. We’ll teach about Bible reading, rest, prayer, opportunities to talk about Jesus, as ways to be changed by God’s grace.
This Sunday, I will kick off the series with a sermon entitled, “Trained by Grace,” from a letter that the Apostle Paul wrote to his next generation leader, named Titus. In Titus 2.11-15, Paul reminds Titus of God’s great grace and how It has the power to miraculously change us. Grace can change us in ways that nothing else can.

*THE REFUGE (MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS): We have several ways to serve our middle school and high school students.
*NURSERY WORKERS FOR SUNDAY (9am) SERVICES AND SAMMYS (WEDNESDAY MORNINGS)
The nurseries serve families with children (newborn through age 5) throughout the year. Consider helping one time, once a month, or more.
Romans 8:3-4 (Gospel)
3For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, 4in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
On Sunday we commissioned FCC’s newest pastor, Pat Stream, who began as part-time Pastor of Biblical Counseling. You can read Pat’s story and vision for Biblical Counseling at fcchudson.com or the FaithBase app.
