Woo hoo, it’s almost Christmas! We are less than a week away. I can’t wait! Let’s continue to prepare our hearts, not only for celebrations and time with friends and family, but may we also prepare our hearts room for Jesus himself. Remember, no matter if we have celebrations or not this Christmas season, no matter if we are missing loved ones or loved ones are close, this is a time to remember and experience this miraculous truth: God is with us.
God has come to be with us. He has come to do what we could not. May we sing and experience the holy Child of Bethlehem.
O holy Child of Bethlehem
Descend to us, we pray
Cast out our sin and enter in
Be born to us today
We hear the Christmas angels
The great glad tidings tell
O come to us, abide with us
Our Lord Emmanuel
(“O Little Town of Bethlehem,” Lewis H. Redner and Phillip Brooks)
No matter who you are or what you have done or what your Christmas will be like, you matter to God and he will abide with you, in you. He will cast out our sin and enter in.
I love you, FCC, may you have a great Christmas, experiencing Jesus our savior!
Come celebrate Christmas at one of our three services on Dec. 22, 23 and 24, at 5:00pm each evening. Childcare available for children through age 5. Invite a friend by text or email by sharing this link. Or pick up invitation cards at the invitation tables in the lobby at FCC.
Christmas is a time for us to celebrate, because God fulfilled his promises to create a way for real hope, real peace, and real joy! This Christmas season is a time for us to experience and tell the greatest news of all time. God has given us real hope. Hope is a person. Hope has a name. His name is Jesus.
Come experience and sing great Christmas music, candle lighting and a clear gospel-centered and practical sermon and then stay for a time to connect with others and enjoy some Christmas goodies and beverages after the services.
Pray - Pray for God to work in a mighty way this Christmas as we gather together and invite friends and family.
Invite - Invite friends, family, neighbors, co-workers to join you this Christmas at our services.
Serve - Please try to fill up the lower lot first. We want to give our guests the spots in the upper parking lot. Also, we know Tuesday will be a full service. To make room for guests, if you are able, please invite and attend Sunday or Monday at 5pm (I know of some people who are inviting to the Monday service and then hosting their guests for the Packer/Vikings game afterward!). Lastly, at our cookie time after the service, look around and see how you can connect and welcome people. Introduce yourself and connect. We want everyone to feel welcome, noticed, and loved.
Watch or listen to the sermons in the “Fulfilled” series at fcchudson.com or the FaithBase app.

Following the Christmas services on Dec. 22, 23 and 24, we plan to invite everyone into the Refuge Room for a time to connect and enjoy some refreshments. If you'd like to contribute to the refreshments, we'd appreciate your help with the following:
If you’d like to serve in the nurseries at one or more of the Christmas services, please contact Karen Garden, Early Childhood and Care Ministry Director, at 715.220.2507. Thank you!
2 Cor. 4:17-18
17For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
We have a vision, that in the coming years, we will help thousands in the St. Croix Valley meet, know, and follow Jesus. Your generosity, especially at the end of the year, can help us do this. Your generosity is helping lives be changed. Seventeen people recently made the step to be baptized! As you have been changed by God's grace, would you please give generously to help others meet Jesus, know and follow Jesus?
Donations can be made through the offering during a worship service, mail, online (fcchudson.com), the FaithBase app, stock donations and even Thrivent Choice Dollars. To ensure the deductibility of your donations, do not file your 2019 income tax return until you have received a written acknowledge of your contributions from the church. Some of your contributions may not be tax-deductible, if you file your tax return before receiving this acknowledgment. FCC contribution statements will be issued by January 31, 2020 for contributions received or postmarked on or before 12/31/2019. If you’d like to view your giving statement before this time, please visit fcchudson.com, and click on FaithBase from the top right menu. Thank you for your generosity!
As we approach the beginning of a new year, perhaps you’re thinking about your financial goals. For several years, we have been offering a course that teaches biblical principles related to managing money, including how to pay off debt, save for emergencies and invest for the future. The next session of FPU starts in just a few weeks on Jan. 6, and meets for nine weeks. Registration for the course is now open at fcchudson.com and also on the FaithBase app. If you would like more information, please stop by the ministry booth in the lobby on Sunday or contact Doug Weiler at 651-398-1184 or by email at email@example.com.
