Merry Christmas! And, thank you for praying and inviting friends to the Christmas services!
On Sunday, we will close our “Fulfilled” series as we consider the Servant that God presents, who will faithfully bring forth justice. In a world that screams for and is often denied justice, we can look in the direction of God’s Servant to make all things right. Isaiah’s fulfilled promises in the birth of Jesus increase our confidence that God will make good on his promises to bring about a justice that will restore all that has been lost in our broken world. Pastor Larry Szyman will present Isaiah 42:1-4 with a message of hope not only for 2020, but for the rest of our life. Faithfulness is a person, and his name is Jesus!

Part of the vision of Faith Community Church (FCC) is to see Christ renewing neighborhoods and the valley. One way we live that out is by participating in the Hudson Backpack Program. Through the program, FCC provides food and prepares backpacks for families in need at our partnering schools, Willow River Elementary and E.P. Rock Elementary. If you’d like to participate, here are some ways you can help:

Just a reminder that the FCC Office will be closed through January 1. Happy New Year!
From birth to old age, our lives are shaped and built around the people we know. But life is hard, and good relationships are hard to find and keep. Even our most treasured relationships are difficult, messy, to the point where we wonder: “Is it worth it? Can I do this? Do I even matter?” But, God gives hope to our relationships. Through Jesus’ grace and power, we can live with others in a way that truly matters, and then, through our relationships, know God better. Save the date for the next sermon series, “Relationship Matters,” which starts on Sunday, Jan. 5, and invite a friend, too!
1 Cor. 10:31 (Godly Living)
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Thank you, Faith Community, for your generosity! The year-end contributions that we receive have a huge impact on the church’s ability to support our annual budget and make the kind of one-time investments that cannot be funded on the basis of regular, weekly and monthly giving. Would you consider making an additional gift at the end of 2019?
Donations can be made through an offering during worship service, mail, online (fcchudson.com), the FaithBase app, stock donations and even Thrivent Choice Dollars. To ensure the deductibility of your donations, do not file your 2019 income tax return until you have received a written acknowledge of your contributions from the church. Some of your contributions may not be tax-deductible, if you file your tax return before receiving this acknowledgment.
FCC contribution statements will be issued by January 31, 2020, for contributions received or postmarked on or before 12/31/2019. If you’d like to view your giving statement before this time, please visit fcchudson.com, and click on FaithBase from the top right menu or view your statement through the FaithBase app. Thank you!
As we approach the beginning of a new year, perhaps you’re thinking about your financial goals. For several years, we have been offering a course that teaches biblical principles related to managing money, including how to pay off debt, save for emergencies and invest for the future. The next session of FPU starts on Jan. 6, and meets for nine weeks. Register for the course at fcchudson.com or on the FaithBase app. If you would like more information, please contact Doug Weiler at 651-398-1184 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
