It’s the first Wednesday of December and the countdown to Christmas has begun! As a family, each year we buy a new Christmas album, and play it over and over again—along with playlists and albums from the past. For this year, we just downloaded Rend Collective’s "A Jolly Irish Christmas (vol 2)," and it is a joy-filled album, reminding us of the great goodness of God as we head into Christmas. Though so many things are different this year, this album is helping me stay grounded in the God who doesn’t change.
One of the key teachings of Jesus is to love others the way he loved us. At the heart of Jesus’ way of love is self-sacrifice--we sacrifice our rights, our desires, our wants, for the good of others. As we continue our study through 1 John (a letter written by an eye-witness to Jesus’ life and teaching), John will show us why sacrificial love is essential for Jesus’ followers and how we get the power to love others the way he loved us.
Whether you watch at home or are on campus on Sundays, you matter to us and you matter to God—we are one church with one mission, and we want to help everyone meet, know and follow Jesus.

Col. 3:18-19 (Family Life)
18 Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
We have a vision, that in the coming years, we will help thousands in the St. Croix Valley meet, know, and follow Jesus. Your generosity, especially at the end of the year, can help us do this. Your generosity is helping lives be changed. Fifteen people said “YES!” to Jesus during 2020! As you have been changed by God's grace, would you please give generously to help others meet Jesus, know and follow Jesus? You can also find some 2020 year-end giving tips on the updated giving page at fcchudson.com. Thank you!
