Merry Christmas, FCC! We are looking forward to gathering in person and online to celebrate Jesus’ birth together--to worship him, and grow in our relationship with Jesus together.
🕯 If you are joining online with us, make sure you have your own candle ready to light when we all sing "Silent Night" together.
Also, over two days and four Christmas Eve services, we will have more people in the building than we have had since March 15. We all want to keep everyone as safe as possible from exposure, while we are together. So please make sure that you physically distance when connecting with people and wear your mask (If you are unable to wear a mask for health concerns, you are more than welcome to join together in person with us! But please also make sure and physically distance.). We want to help everyone to have a Christmas Eve service together, that's as safe as possible.
With Christmas Eve being close to Sunday this year, and because of multiple Christmas Eve services requiring a lot of work and sacrifice from staff and volunteers, we are going to give our volunteers and staff some much needed rest. For the last Sunday of the year, Dec. 27, instead of meeting in person at the church building, we will post an online video devotional with an inspirational message for the new year. Just go to fcchudson.com on Dec. 27, to watch.
Thank you, FCC, for your generosity in supporting individuals and families in our community through Heart for the Valley! More than $18,000 was donated to Heart for the Valley to bless families this Christmas. We saw a record 218 HFTV Christmas gift packs distributed this year - that’s well over 700 individuals served! You can read more and see photos from the event at fcchudson.com.
Hebrews 13:5-6 (Godly Living)
5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”
Here at Faith Community, our mission is to make more and better disciples of Jesus Christ, so we seek to help everyone meet know and follow him. Your generosity, especially at the end of the year, can help us do this. Your generosity is helping lives to be changed. Fifteen people said “YES!” to Jesus during 2020, new missional communities have formed, and more people are being discipled. As you have been changed by God's grace, would you please give generously to help others meet, know and follow Jesus? You can also find some 2020 year-end giving tips on the updated giving page at fcchudson.com.
To ensure the deductibility of your church contributions, please wait to file your 2020 income tax return, until you have received a written acknowledgement of your contributions from the church. Some of your contributions may not be tax-deductible, if you file your tax return before receiving this acknowledgment. FCC contribution statements will be issued by January 31, 2021, for contributions received or postmarked on or before Dec. 31, 2020. Thank you!
