Hello, Faith Community! Today’s UpDate includes information about Sunday’s worship gathering plus important FCC news and events. The FCC Office is closed through Jan. 1.

Pastor Larry Szyman will be concluding the Wonder of the One series this Sunday, teaching on Mark 10.42-45 and Matthew 11.25-30. Jesus turns our understanding of how life works on its head and gives an alternative that offers rest for our souls, if we’re willing to trust him.

Go to the AppStore or Google Play, then search for the “Faith Community Church Hudson” app and download it to your device. You’ll find quick links to discipleship resources, plus FCC news and event information.

Cost is $109, which includes the Financial Peace Membership kit (textbook, workbook, study materials) and online access to FPU resources. Participating in the Hudson Backpack Program is one way FCC serves the families in our community, as part of living out our vision of renewed neighborhoods. With your help, backpacks filled with breakfast, lunch and food items are provided to families at Willow River Elementary and families at E.P. Rock Elementary twice a month during the school year.

  • If you’d like to help this month, please pick up a green bag at the ministry booth in the lobby on Sunday, then shop for the items listed on the card attached to the bag and bring the filled bag back next weekend.
  • New or lightly used plain backpacks are also needed to send food home with students. If you’d like to donate a backpack, please drop it off at the Info Center at FCC.
  • To sign up to help distribute bags and for more information, please contact Robyn Romberg at Thank you, FCC!

As we near the end of the year, would you consider extending your generosity through a year-end contribution? The financial gifts that we receive at the end of the year make a huge impact on the church’s ability to support our annual budget. They also enable the kind of one-time investments that cannot be funded on the basis of regular, weekly and monthly giving.
