Happy New Year, FCC! I hope you are enjoying some time of refreshment and God’s presence as we close out this year and begin the next year! The pastors and elders of FCC are praying for you and for the year ahead. We look forward to how God’s Spirit is leading us together.
This Sunday, we are starting a new series on the New Testament letter written by a man named James, who was Jesus’ half-brother and key leader in the early church. This letter is a treasury of gospel-inspired wisdom for how to live in the complexities and difficulties of life.
We will start out the new year this Sunday by getting God’s perspective on our trials, and how we can take full advantage of the difficulties that God allows into our lives. We will be learning from James 1.1-8.
If you are new to James' letter or want a brief, yet rich, introduction to the author and the letter, I highly recommend watching this video from the Bible project. It is excellent!
Don’t forget to download the discussion guide, (which will be available on Friday), so we can help one another better apply the God’s truth to our lives.
The Discipleship and Biblical Counseling course will equip you to skillfully, confidently, and lovingly administer God’s word and grow in your own faith.

1 Thessalonians 5:15-18 (Prayer)
15 See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Here at Faith Community, our mission is to make more and better disciples of Jesus Christ, so we seek to help everyone meet know and follow him. Your generosity, especially at the end of the year, can help us do this. Your generosity is helping lives to be changed. Fifteen people said “YES!” to Jesus during 2020, new missional communities have formed, and more people are being discipled. As you have been changed by God's grace, would you please give generously to help others meet, know and follow Jesus? You can also find some 2020 year-end giving tips on the updated giving page at fcchudson.com.
To ensure the deductibility of your church contributions, please wait to file your 2020 income tax return, until you have received a written acknowledgement of your contributions from the church. Some of your contributions may not be tax-deductible, if you file your tax return before receiving this acknowledgment. FCC contribution statements will be issued by January 31, 2021, for contributions received or postmarked on or before Dec. 31, 2020. Thank you!
