TheUpDate Weekly Newsletter - February 6, 2019

Happy Wednesday, FCC! I’m about to go out and do some space management with the snow in our driveway. A great reminder today that though our sins be like scarlet, because of Jesus, we can be washed whiter than snow. Let’s worship while we move snow! Looking forward to being with you all on Sunday morning!

WORSHIP GATHERING

Every human heart has strong desires. We do what we do in life, because of these desires. We all desire victory, happiness, justice, success. This Sunday Pastor Larry will talk about our strong desire for belonging. No one wants to be left out or excluded.God is so gracious that he brings us into relationship with himself. We belong to him. And he also brings us into relationship with others. We belong to his church. It so important that we understand this desire we have. Pastor Larry will help us see this desire, become aware of ways that we seek to satisfy this desire in destructive ways, and how God truly satisfies this desire in a relationship with him.

SERVE INDIA - KWIK TRIP CARDS AVAILABLE THIS SUNDAY

Part of the vision of Faith Community is to empower global missional leaders. One way we live that out is through partnership with SERVEIndia, which supports the expanding missionary effort in India, specifically in Andhra Pradesh, a state in South East India. You can stop by their booth in the lobby on Sunday to learn more about SERVE India. Kwik Trip cards will be also be available to purchase in support of SERVE India.

THIS WEEK’S BIBLE MEMORY VERSE

1 Peter 2:24 (Gospel)
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

WORTH REPEATING

UGANDA TRIP UPDATES

Pastor Larry Szyman and FCC Elder John Blum traveled to Uganda inJanuary as a next toward ensuring that FCC's goal of seeing an African-led, disciple making, church planting movement takes root in northern Uganda. OnJanuary 25, 44 men signed three-year covenants with Four Corners, Training Leaders International and the St. Croix Valley LEAD Team with a goal of an abiding network of gospel-centered, Bible saturated, African-led churches! You can read the five posts from Pastor Larry on the FCC blog at fcchudson.com or on the FCC app.

MISSION EXTENSION VIDEO

During the FCC Annual Meeting a couple of weeks ago, we played a video (shown above) that highlights the various ways that FCC serves our neighbors and shares the gospel both here in the St. Croix Valley and across the globe. Thank you, FCC, for your generosity in serving with your time and in giving financially to help us reach more people, so they can meet, know and follow Jesus!

PRAYER REQUESTS + CARE NEEDS are now posted on the Prayer + Care wall on the app. You can also sign up on the app under “Emails + Registrations,” if you would like to receive an email when new prayer requests and care needs are posted.
