TheUpDate Weekly Newsletter - January 20, 2021

Happy Wednesday, FCC!

Today is Inauguration Day, and regardless of how we voted, Paul in 1 Timothy 2 tells us to pray for our leaders.  He writes,

1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

So as President Biden takes the oath of office, let us talk to God on his behalf and on behalf of our country that our President would lead, while seeking God’s wisdom and righteousness.

31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

If you are hesitant because of COVID-19 concerns to join us on campus for your baptism, we would love to assist you in celebrating your relationship with Jesus in a setting more helpful to you. Whether you'd like to be baptized during an in-person service on Sunday, Feb. 7, or in a different setting, please sign up at fcchudson.com  or on the app, and Pastor Larry Szyman will follow up with you.
