Happy Wednesday, FCC! I look forward to being with you all online and in person this Sunday!
We continue our series in the book of James this week, learning and applying a new rule for living an inspired life. This week is Rule #4: Get Wisdom From Above, Not From Below. We’ll be learning from James 3.13-18.
Everyone is welcome to attend the FCC Annual Meeting, and you’re going to want to plan to be there! We’ll be sharing some stories and highlights of how God is moving in and among us, as well as talking about how we see God leading us in 2021 and beyond. FCC covenant members will also be voting to affirm FCC elders and officers.
The Covenant Membership Class is our introduction to membership at Faith Community Church and is required for anyone wishing to pursue membership. This class will cover our purpose, mission, vision, discipleship paths, Missional Community, covenant and statement of belief.
James 1:2-3 (Trials)
2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
An important step in following Jesus is baptism. In consultation with local health workers, we want to offer you an opportunity to take a next step to be baptized. If you have said yes to following Jesus, but haven’t been baptized yet, we invite you to sign up to be baptized.
If you are hesitant because of COVID-19 concerns to join us on campus for your baptism, we would love to assist you in celebrating your relationship with Jesus in a setting more helpful to you. Whether you'd like to be baptized during an in-person service on Sunday, Feb. 7, or in a different setting, please sign up at fcchudson.com or on the app, and Pastor Larry Szyman will follow up with you.
The next child dedications will take place on Sunday, February 28, during the 9:00am and 11:00am services. Learn more and get registered at fcchudson.com or the FaithBase app.
Each summer, Faith Community Church dedicates a week to serving our neighbors across the St. Croix Valley through FaithWorks. Save the date now and request vacation time so you can serve this summer. You can learn more about why we have FaithWorks each year and how you can get involved in this blog post by Pastor Larry Szyman, “Why FaithWorks Might Be My Favorite Week of the Year.”
