Hello, Faith Community! There’s a lot happening at FCC this week, so thank you for taking the time to read today’s email! (Pastor Tim Porter is on vacation this week.)
This Sunday, we’ll see what David does when he’s presented with the opportunity to destroy an enemy and see what he has to teach us about the power of anger, the thirst for justice and what happens when these turn to revenge.
We invite you to gather with us at the church building this Sunday morning, June 28, without the need to RSVP. After a few weeks of limiting our in-person services to 100 people each, we believe we are able to have more people in our services, while still practicing physical distancing. (If our in-person attendance increases substantially, we may need to reconsider the RSVP process.). Thank you again for your patience and flexibility as we’ve been learning these past few weeks through our first phase in regathering at the building.
Just a reminder that for our in-person gatherings we intend to follow, in spirit, the COVID guidelines provided by St. Croix County and the CDC. Please see the guidelines on the FCC blog.
Whether you watch at home or are on campus on Sunday, you matter to us and you matter to God, and we are one church with one mission: to help everyone meet, know and follow Jesus.

FaithWorks is taking place this week, and there are still many ways to get involved! If you have any questions, contact Pastor Larry Szyman at lszyman@fcchudson.com. Here are some ways to help:
Pastor Tim Porter was quoted in an article in this month’s “Point” magazine published by Converge. The article shares how Converge churches quickly moved to online services, as limits were placed on large gatherings earlier this year to help limit the spread of COVID-19. Faith Community Church partners with Converge, which is a network of nearly 1300 churches throughout the United States. Converge seeks to help start and strengthen churches nationally and globally. Titus 2:13-14 (Gospel)
13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
In this season of concern over the spread of COVID-19, Faith Community Church and its hosts will hold a Backyard VBS for K-5th graders this summer using the Go Fish “Gotta Move!” VBS curriculum.VBS will take place Monday, July 20 - Friday, July 24th and is open to children in K-5th grade (2019-20). Children will attend VBS in the backyard of a neighbor who hosts a Backyard VBS. Learn more about hosting a Backyard VBS, serving as an assistant or registering a child at fcchudson.com. Registration will close on Monday, July 13, at midnight.
Although we’re all experiencing a lot of change right now, our mission stays the same: to help everyone meet, know and follow Jesus. We have an opportunity to reach thousands through our new online services and resources. Your faithful giving helps support our shared mission. Thank you for your generosity!
