THIS SUNDAY

This Sunday, we’ll see what David does when he’s presented with the opportunity to destroy an enemy and see what he has to teach us about the power of anger, the thirst for justice and what happens when these turn to revenge.

We invite you to gather with us at the church building this Sunday morning, June 28, without the need to RSVP. After a few weeks of limiting our in-person services to  100 people each, we believe we are able to have more people in our services, while still practicing physical distancing. (If our in-person attendance increases substantially, we may need to reconsider the RSVP process.). Thank you  again  for your patience and flexibility as we’ve been learning these past few weeks through our first phase in regathering at the building.

Just a reminder that for our in-person gatherings we intend to follow, in spirit, the COVID guidelines provided by St. Croix County and the CDC. Please see the guidelines on the FCC blog.

Whether you watch at home or are on campus on Sunday, you matter to us and you matter to God, and we are one church with one mission: to help everyone meet, know and follow Jesus.

Watch or listen to sermons in the “David, The Rise and Fall of a King” series at fcchudson.com or on the FaithBase app.

FAITHWORKS 2020 IS HAPPENING NOW!

FaithWorks is taking place this week, and there are still many ways to get involved! If you have any questions, contact Pastor Larry Szyman at  lszyman@fcchudson.com.  Here are some ways to help:

  • Food items for snacks for workers are still needed, including salted nuts, juice boxes, chips, apples, pears, Rice Krispy bars. We're sorry—we cannot accept home baked goodies this year. Call or text Karen Garden for more information at: 715-220-2507. Thank you!
  • Faith Community Church is holding a scrap metal collection again this year in support of FaithWorks. Scrap metal will be continue to be received from 9am-5pm, today and tomorrow, June 24-25, and 9am-12pm (noon) on Friday, June 26, at dumpsters located at the house just south of the church building, 771 Carmichael Road (look for the sign). Please note, we are not able to accept refrigerators, microwaves, A/C units, automobiles, or anything with freon (unless the freon has already been purged).
  • If you would like to make a financial donation to FaithWorks, you can make an online donation at  fcchudson.com  or the FaithBase app.  Thank you!

CONVERGE “POINT” MAGAZINE

Pastor Tim Porter was quoted in an article in this month’s “Point” magazine published by Converge. The article shares how Converge churches quickly moved to online services, as limits were placed on large gatherings earlier this year to help limit the spread of COVID-19. Faith Community Church partners with Converge, which is a network of nearly 1300 churches throughout the United States. Converge seeks to help start and strengthen churches nationally and globally. You can access this month’s online “Point” magazine at this link.

THIS WEEK’S BIBLE MEMORY VERSE

Titus 2:13-14 (Gospel)

13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
