Faith Community,

I love you and I am praying for you! When everything is changing, let’s remember “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help of trouble” (Ps 46.1).

We experienced God’s help this last Sunday. We did FCC live for the first time. I am so proud of our team. We took a big step forward this week without a lot of time to get ready, and our team pulled it off--God is our help in time of trouble!!! We're working hard to make it an even better experience in the coming weeks. Pray for God’s help for us, so we can use this platform well to connect and look to Jesus together!

  • This week’s Bible memory verse

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1.7).

Brothers and sisters, so much is unsettling and challenging right now. But I want to remind you that God has given you his Spirit. Because Jesus lived for us, died for us, and rose again for us, the Spirit of the Living God is in you. When you were born again, the Spirit of God made that happen! The day you said “Yes” to Jesus, the Spirit invaded your heart, and made you new.  Amazing, just amazing! God is in you! You belong to God and he belongs to you! Forever!

And the Spirit of God in you doesn’t lead you in fear; he is in you to give you power for loving others and for self-control, a sound mind. So today, remember God has given you himself. He is with you. No matter who you are, no matter what you have done, no matter what’s been done to you, you matter to God! God loves you so much and is so dedicated to you that he has done everything to create a forever relationship with you.

Be self-controlled—be prudent and wise. Let’s do everything we can to flatten the curve. Let’s act out of wisdom and care and not out of panic. Let’s love one another. By the help of the Spirit, let’s make it a priority to seek the greatest good of others. Let’s use this challenge as an opportunity to talk to others about spiritual things. Let’s help everyone meet, know, and follow Jesus during this time. Let’s intentionally build relationships during this time.

Let’s remember that today, right here and right now, the Spirit of God is in you to give you power! Jesus secured the presence and power of his Spirit out of love for you. Right here and right now, the Spirit will lead you and give you the power you need for today!

Who Do You Say?

Join us this Sunday at 9 or 11am for online church! We’ll be starting a new series called “Who Do You Say?” Before he was crucified, Jesus was put on trial. The passions of the mob roared and the opposing leaders disagreed about what to do with Jesus. There were misunderstandings, mixed messages and ulterior motives. This continues today. Who was Jesus? What did he teach? Why did he die? Why do people still follow him? Maybe you have the same questions. Perhaps, Jesus isn’t who you think he is. Who do you say Jesus is?

Listen to this week’s worship music playlist on Spotify. Check it out here. (You’ll need to sign up for a free Spotify account to listen, if you don’t already have one.)

We’re excited to celebrate our first-ever live streaming of our services this past Sunday. Thank you to the Sunday worship team, who, in a very short time frame, banded together to successfully live stream our services! More than 600 people joined us for our online church—God be praised! Thank you to everyone who joined us to worship the Living God! We’re excited to worship with you next Sunday, as we make further improvements to our live stream services.

We’re working on some exciting things for you! Stay tuned later today, tomorrow and Friday as we introduce you to new content (be sure to check out our social media!). In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek…

fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Missional Communities are a great place to have people speak truth into our lives. They are the core element of Faith Community’s discipleship, and we'd love to help you get connected with a Missional Community:

  • They are a place to belong, grow in becoming more like Jesus and serve.
  • They offer care and support to one another through life’s celebrations and times of need, too.
  • Within Missional Communities, smaller discipleship groups offer a place to be mentored, while studying God’s word and learning to apply it to all of life.

Watch the video at this link to learn more. Stop by the Connection Center on Sunday to get connected with a Missional Community or visit  or the Faith Base app.
