Happy Wednesday, FCC! It’s mid-week, and so that means that AWANA and the Refuge are meeting tonight! Would you please pray that God’s Spirit would work in the hearts of the next generation? Pray also for all the leaders investing their time to help the next gen meet and follow Jesus. These ministries are an important way that we fulfill our mission together to make more and better disciples of Jesus.
There is a lot of important information and opportunities in this Update, so please read through to the end!
We continue on in our study of James’ letter and learn Rule #10 for living an inspired life: Always be Honest and Speak the Truth.
We've encountered a good problem: we're reaching our maximum seating capacity in the auditorium during Sunday services! I'm encouraged to see people coming back into the building to gather in community and worship our God! To help navigate this good problem, while also loving and caring for one another by masking and social distancing, we will use the Refuge Room as an overflow once we reach capacity in the auditorium. We're also asking anyone, who attends the 9am service and has the flexibility, to attend the 11am service. Our 9am service usually experiences higher attendance and moving to the 11 will help us care for people well. Thank you, FCC, for your help in accommodating our new and returning brothers and sisters!
Just a reminder to set your clocks forward this Saturday night, Mar. 13, as Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday, Mar. 14.
We will be celebrating communion together on campus and online on Sunday, Mar. 21. Communion is very important for remembering Jesus' death, resurrection, and return and also for our unity together as a church. If you will be watching online, please make plans to have grape juice with bread or crackers available to celebrate communion at home with your family.
Come celebrate the risen Jesus with us! Filled with music, stories of transformation and an inspiring message from Pastor Tim Porter, our Easter services are designed to highlight the resurrection of Jesus and showcase the power that God’s grace can provide to change our lives. Services will be held both in person and online. We have maximum capacities per service, so RSVP for your seats today! Find more info and RSVP for your on campus seat atfcchudson.com/easter.
Join us for a communion service on Thursday, April 1, at 7pm, that will help us remember Christ’s redemptive sacrifice of love on the cross. Surrounding this theme of the cross, we will sing songs, hear a devotional message, and take communion together within a service that will last about one hour, and will be held in-person and online at fcchudson.com, YouTube and Facebook.
