Happy Wednesday, FCC! It is a beautiful day today! How kind of God to give us such gifts! I’m hoping to close out the day with burgers, mowing the lawn and watching the next episode of "The Chosen" with my family.  I hope you are able to catch some time outside today!

IN THIS ISSUE:

  • This Sunday
  • This week’s Bible memory verse
  • Highlights from Awana Clubs and The Refuge
  • New Members

THIS SUNDAY

What is at the core of God’s heart? Grace. Grace and mercy. Because of grace and mercy, Jesus got what we deserve so that we could get what Jesus deserves. This week, we’ll learn about what unites us all together in Jesus--we are all recipients of grace, and we all draw from the well of the vast riches of God’s mercy. On Sunday, we will study 1 Corinthians 3.10-23, with a sermon titled, "A Foundation of Grace."

Watch or listen to the sermons in the “Is Christ Divided?” series at fcchudson.com.

CELEBRATING COMMUNION THIS SUNDAY

This Sunday, we will celebrate communion together in each service. Communion is very important for remembering Jesus' death, resurrection, and return and also for our unity together as a church.  If you will be watching online, please make plans to have grape juice with bread or crackers available to celebrate communion at home with your family.

THIS WEEK’S BIBLE MEMORY VERSE

James 1:19-20 (Anger)
19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Awana Clubs celebrated their 32nd Awards Night! Together, they spent the evening honoring the hard work of the clubbers, thanking the wonderful leaders who make Awana possible, and watching a fun slideshow of the year in review. Pictured above from left to right are three Timothy Award Winners for the 2020-21 year: Lydia Franzwa, Emma Krueger and Hannah Hank.

The Refuge ended their 2020-2021 year with an awesome night worshipping, celebrating seniors and enjoying a sweet Cinco de Mayo treat. It was a blast! We want to say a huge thank you to all our Refuge leaders who stepped up in significant ways amidst an unprecedented year of ministry!

NEW MEMBERS

I’d like to invite all FCC members to a meeting on Sunday, May 23, between the worship services.  We will be affirming new members to our church! Set aside the day and the time, May 23, starting at 10:20am.
