Hello, Faith Community! Today is Veterans Day, and we honor all the brave men and women who served our country in the military.
Pastor Tim Porter is away from the office today. Please take a few minutes to read today’s newsletter for the latest FCC news and important dates.
IN THIS ISSUE:
“…God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5b)
On Sunday, as we begin a new sermon series on 1 John, called “Walk in the Light," we’ll be learning from 1 John 1:1-5. Invite a friend to come with you on Sunday or join online, too!
Whether you watch at home or are on campus on Sundays, you matter to us and you matter to God, and we are one church with one mission: to help everyone meet, know and follow Jesus.
Over the past several years, our church family has had the opportunity to participate in a Christmas Love Offering for our Pastors. To continue the tradition, we will be collecting tax-deductible donations in order to bless and show appreciation to our Pastors again this Christmas. Offerings can be made via the app, our website, offering boxes at FCC or mail (Faith Community Church, 777 Carmichael Rd. Hudson, WI 54016). Please be sure to write “Pastor Love Offering” in the memo of your check. Thank you!
The national shoebox collection week for Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is next week, Nov. 16 to 23. Thank you to all who are signed up to volunteer—all the time slots have been filled! There’s still time to pack a shoebox and then drop if off at FCC next week:
Is. 26:3-4 (Anxiety)
3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. 4 Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
The next child dedications will take place on Sunday, November 22, during the 9:00am and 11:00am services. Learn more and get registered at fcchudson.com or the FaithBase app.
Watch a short video to learn about Heart for the Valley.
Through Heart for the Valley, middle school and high school students from Faith Community Church serve the surrounding community by packing a Christmas meal for families, as well as giving extra food to stock their cupboards! Last year, because of the generosity of FCC, students distributed meals to more than 156 families in the Hudson area! We had over 175 middle school, high school and adult volunteers to make this event a success.
This year, students from FCC will pack meals for families to pick up on Saturday, December 19, from 9:00-11:00am. Working alongside the Hudson Backpack Program and County Market, the goal is to serve more than 150 families in our neighborhoods.
Want to help support Heart For the Valley? Each $60 tax-deductible donation allows students from FCC to pack two full boxes of food to each family, including a Christmas meal with extra food for their cupboards. Please consider donating any amount to help feed families in our neighborhoods! Learn more and make a donation at fcchudson.com or the FaithBase app. Thank you!
