In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 

He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made.  In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 

But the world loved darkness more than light, choosing wicked things and hating the light.

And still, God loved the world and the sent the One who was with him from the beginning—to bring light and eternal life to those who would believe.

God became a man. He came as a baby, and grew into a servant of all.

He was truly one of us. He came with signs and wonders, to heal and to save. He promised salvation to a world that loved the dark.

The wonder of the One shined into the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.

Now he is exalted above all things, and the whole world stands in wonder of the One who is forever…and forever one of us.
