God is the creator and he made us and we belong to him. But we have rebelled. Thinking we could do life without God. Because of this rebellion our lives are broken, the world is broken, and we have earned just condemnation before God. But God who is so good is not only just but merciful. He loves us, and seeks us good. He has made a way to restore us back to a perfect relationship with him. He did this by sending his son, Jesus. Jesus willingly came for us, to live the life we should have lived, to die in our place, and to rise again. Right now Jesus rules over history, and one day he will return to bring the world to rights. Until then, God has sent his Spirit to change our hearts, to tell us in our depths of our hearts that God loves us, that he is our refuge, our comfort, our provider, our righteousness, our forgiver, and to give us power to live increasingly like Jesus.
