Frequently Asked Questions
What do you mean by a Gospel-Inspired Life?
At FCC we want to help people find and live a life inspired by the gospel of Jesus Christ who came so we could have this new and abundant life (John 10:10). We want everyone to see and experience Jesus as the exact image of the invisible God (Col 1:15), who gave His life to make peace in our relationship with God (Romans 5:1). Despite our sins, our faith in Jesus Christ is counted to us as righteousness because of His life, death, and resurrection (Romans 4:16-25).
In a gospel-inspired life we receive this good news about Jesus and it becomes the motivation and power to overcome unbelief – those things that keep us from trusting God’s design for our lives and the world. Over time, we learn to believe all the truth that is found in Jesus.
In this way, Gospel-Inspired Life ministry focuses on applying God’s word to all our relationships and circumstances. We want everyone to see and experience the power of God’s Word in this new way of living and loving.
A gospel-inspired life is also one that increasingly reflects our Gospel-Inspired Life values.
Does FCC observe communion?
Communion is celebrated at least once per month during our Sunday morning services. The elements (bread and juice cup) are received by anyone who considers themself a follower of Jesus Christ. You do not have to be a member of FCC to participate.
How do I sign up to be baptized?
Baptisms take place 4 times a year during our Sunday morning services. Check out our baptism page to learn more about what baptism means at FCC and to find our next baptism date.
How do I sign up for a Child Dedication?
Child Dedications give parents the opportunity to enter into a public covenant with God, committing to raise their child in the name of Jesus, relinquishing all worldly claims upon their child’s life. This is modeled by Hannah in Samuel 1, along with Mary and Joseph in Luke 2.22-38. Child dedications are also a covenant with FCC, as our members partner with parents in the discipleship of their children, living out our Mission of making more and better disciples of Jesus Christ.
Child Dedications are offered three times a year during our Sunday morning services. Our next child dedication service is Sunday, September 29, 2024. Register here.
Can I get financial help from FCC?
To start the approval process for financial assistance from the FCC Community Missions Committee, please contact the FCC office at (715) 386-4070.
How do I get a bulletin/worship folder announcement?
FCC does not publish a weekly bulletin or worship folder, but we do publish a quarterly hand-out that shows a calendar of events while highlighting Gospel-Inspired life ministry. This handout will be distributed by ushers for the first two weeks of its publication and then is available at the info desk in our lobby.
The Sermon + Conversation Guide is also available each week at the Info desk and on our livestream page. For news about FCC current events and programs, subscribe to our newsletter here.
How do I become a member?
We offer a Covenant Membership Class (two evening sessions) as an introduction to FCC and what it means to be a member with us. This class is required for anyone wishing to pursue FCC membership. During the class, instructions are given for applying for membership.
Our Covenant Membership Class is offered two times per year (Spring and Fall).
Covenant Membership Classes take place in fall and winter each year. Watch our events page for our next class.
