Mission Focus Moment

Justin and Joelle Goldberg — along with their girls — are missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators serving in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. They are currently working on a long-term Bible translation project in the heart language for a group of people (due to security reasons, we cannot mention the people group). They have completed the translation of several books of the Bible.

This summer, the Goldbergs were here in the U.S. providing updates to partner churches, spending time with family and friends, as well as raising additional financial support needed.

How You can Pray for the Goldberg’s Mission

• Safety in travel and re-settling back in Addis Ababa this fall.
• Completion of the development of a website and social media campaign to distribute the translated books – this is a safe and secure way to share with people this translation and more cost effective than a printed version.
• Safety for the mother-tongue translators on their team as there is persecution in the area, and that the translators will be empowered by the Holy Spirt as they work to make this translation faithful to the text and natural in their language.

Global Mission Partners

Sarah (SJ) Holsteen – Lille, France – International Association for Refugees

SJ is the leader of her team in Lille. Pray that she has vision to expand the ministry and work with local churches to meet the needs of refugees.

Mike Evans – Training Leaders International (TLI) – Uganda

Mike has been instrumental in training pastors in Uganda. His last training is in September 2025 as the cohort of pastors graduate. Pray for Mike as he is in a period of transition.

Steve and Nopaluck Cable – Bangkok, Thailand – Santisuk English School

The Cables are stateside for the summer and will be returning to Thailand in October. Pray for their safety as they travel in the U.S. as well as returning to their ministry in October. Salvation of 10 students this year!

John and Ana Lindstrom – Papua New Guinea

John is coordinating a large multi-language project with 10 different languages related to the Malei language. Pray for unity among the team as they continue this work.

John and Terri Nanda – Serve India & All Nations House (UWRF)

John and Terri have recently returned home after John received a liver transplant. Pray for continued recovery, administrative paperwork and the ability to manage the work in India while John continues to recover in the U.S.

Ryan and Leah – Aisa

Ryan and Leah have been in the U.S. this summer visiting with partner churches and family. Prayers for a safe return, a good start to school for the girls and a vision for their city.

Z   and A   – Twin Cities

Z   and A   have just returned. Pray that they establish new routines as they continue to reach out to their people
